Developed capability / Project delivery

Signal Logic Factory

Good delivery starts
before the build.

Signal Logic Factory helps define what a project must achieve, develop its requirements and design, and carry those decisions through AI-assisted implementation and checks.

The focus
The whole project workflow.
The differentiator
Project design and control above the AI execution environment.
The responsibility
People approve consequential decisions. Results are checked against requirements.
The project workflow

Define the project
before building it.

Working software can still solve the wrong problem. Requirements, operating responsibilities and user journeys need to be understood before implementation begins.

  1. Frame and challengeUnderstand the need, objective, constraints and proposed response. Stress-test the requirements.
  2. Design and specifyWork through the solution and any relevant user experience. Specify how components exchange information, how failures are handled and who operates the result.
  3. Build and verifyBreak the work into tasks with clear scope. Use AI agents for implementation, with appropriate reviews and checks for unintended changes to existing behaviour.
  4. Accept and authoriseCheck the version being considered for release against the agreed requirements. People retain authority over release and deployment.

Discovery and design can be revisited. When requirements change, affected design, implementation and tests must be updated too.

Above the execution environment

Requirements and design guide the implementation.

An execution harness is the environment where AI agents use tools and work with code. The Factory sits above it, organising the project definition, delivery and checks against requirements.

Intent and human authority

Problem, objective, scope, acceptable risk and consequential decisions.

Signal Logic Factory

Requirements, design, specifications and checks against the agreed project intent.

Execution harness

AI agents working within agreed scope, using tools and returning results for review.

Working response

The agreed behaviour in an application, service or technical environment.

The Factory currently uses Codex to run agent work. Other compatible execution environments are a future development direction.

Delivery in practice

Put better thinking to productive work.

The Factory puts human attention into understanding the need and designing the solution, then uses AI agents to help implement it. The delivery example below shows what that shift can mean for the effort a project requires.

Our experience with selected Factory projects includes delivery-time reductions of more than tenfold and lower costs. We plan each project around its own scope, integration needs and available expertise.

Bring us your intended outcome, what already exists and your time or budget constraints. We can work through the specifications and examine where the Factory could make delivery more affordable.

Supporting delivery teams

Expand what a delivery team can take on.

Signal Logic Labs can support a delivery firm, an existing development team or an organisation with a project to deliver. The Factory brings the need, requirements, design and specifications together, then supports implementation within agreed limits and checks the result.

We adapt the starting point to the work: defining a new application, understanding an existing system or developing a supplied design into a buildable specification.

CEADE uses our Factory for internal and client projects. We have helped it pursue delivery ambitions that would otherwise have been constrained by time and cost.

Different starting points

New work, existing systems
or a solution already taking shape.

Build something new

Define and deliver a new response from its intended outcome.

Replace an existing system

Understand the existing system while defining what its replacement should do.

Improve an existing system

Extend or improve an existing solution within clear boundaries.

Start from existing designs

Review supplied requirements, specifications, designs or prototypes and resolve what is needed before delivery.

Work with Signal Logic Labs to apply the Factory to your project or support your development team.

How requirements changes are handled

When requirements change, the Factory revisits the affected design, implementation and tests before accepting the result.

WORKFLOW EXCERPT / REPOSITORY DOCUMENTATION

What must be resolved before the build?

Requirements challenge
The intended outcome, actors, operating rules, scope and acceptance obligations.
Applicable UI/UX
Connected journeys and design review, not screens considered in isolation.
Technical definition
Specifications and architecture review before dividing implementation into tasks.
Controlled delivery
Authorised implementation, checks for unintended changes and acceptance based on evidence for the version reviewed.

Inside the project console

See the project
from definition to delivery.

The console shows the project's requirements, user experience, technical design and delivery stages together. The work depends on what already exists and what needs to change.

Productivity with accountability

Improve the work.
Keep responsibility with people.

Time saved matters when it supports a useful business response. Quality, operating reality and the people affected remain part of that decision.

Keep consequential decisions human

People set the outcome, approve important scope and risk decisions, and authorise release. Agents implement agreed tasks and correct routine defects within those limits.

Design for the people doing the work

Connected journeys must address users' starting context, next actions, errors and recovery. Usability reviews check whether a new user could complete the task without coaching and find where the interface leaves the next step unclear.

Protect information and check the result

Source-handling rules exclude known secrets from incoming material. AI usage records contain usage details rather than prompts, responses or personal data. Tests cover the changed behaviour, including security and failure paths where needed.

For applications affecting employees, requirements and reviews need to address changing roles, staff involvement, bias, monitoring and ways to challenge decisions.

Ways to use the Factory

Use the Factory to support your projects.

Delivery firms

Support internal and client projects with stronger definition and a repeatable AI-assisted delivery workflow.

Existing development teams

Add structured project thinking and Factory support around an existing IT or development practice.

Organisations with a need

Work directly with Signal Logic Labs to turn a need into clear requirements, a considered design and a working solution.
